EAC Workshop 2022
November 22 @ 10:30 - 17:15

Future Challenges in Assessing Environmentally-Assisted Cracking in Plant
Environmentally-assisted cracking (EAC) is a complex phenomenon and involves the combination of stress, whether static or cyclic, an environment, for instance high temperatures or presence of corrosive species, and susceptible material, for instance thermal processing or heat affected zones at weld locations.
FESI are pleased to announce an upcoming workshop on “Future Challenges in Assessing Environmentally Assisted Cracking in Plant”, to be held on November 22, 2022 at The Engine Rooms, Birchwood Park, Warrington, UK. The programme provides talks from experts in the nuclear industry and academia, and also gives a platform to discuss steps which need to be taken to overcome future challenges in assessing EAC in plant.
